AJ Richman began his legal career as a prosecutor, handling thousands of criminal cases from the other side of the courtroom. That experience taught him exactly how the state builds a case — and exactly where those cases can be challenged. Today, he uses that insight to defend clients rather than pursue them.
AJ earned his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in 2009, graduating cum laude, after completing his undergraduate degree at Florida State in Criminal Justice and Criminology with a minor in mathematics. He has since represented clients in Federal, Superior, and State courts across Georgia, handling matters ranging from DUI and drug offenses to serious felony allegations, and has advanced training in complex and sensitive case types.
Georgia Athlete was built to bring that same courtroom-tested defense — paired with a business-savvy approach to contracts, NIL deals, and endorsements — to athletes and families who are navigating some of the highest-stakes moments of their lives. A single charge or a poorly negotiated deal can affect a scholarship, a draft stock, or a career.
